Things to do

Located only two miles away from the beautiful village of Belsay which has many local shops full of local produce to enjoy. Morpeth is located ten miles away, the charming market town offering a wide range of pubs, restaurants and shops.

The picturesque Bolam County Lake Park is located directly opposite. Nearby is the Belsay Hall Castle and Gardens, as well as Wallington Hall.

Plenty of walking trails, lakeside ambles and scenic paths to enjoy. Hadrian’s Wall is a short 20 minute drive. The breath-taking Northumberland coast is 40 minutes drive away, and the Scottish borders are all within easy reach too.

Some parts of the site are unlit so a torch is very much recommended. This does allow the perfect opportunity to gaze up at the night sky when darkness arrives.

Food and drink?

Plenty of local coffee shops and many pubs all within a ten minute drive from the site.

Alternatively firepits can be provided for to cook up a few burgers and bangers, please arrange this when booking. Please extinguish all firepits by 10pm.

Getting there?

Only 9.2 miles from Newcastle International Airport and 2.7 Miles from The Arcade coach station in Belsay. The nearest local train station is Morpeth Rail Station at 7.6 miles away as the crow flies.
