This picturesque campsite is the perfect base from which to explore Cornwall. The setting is idyllic, pitch up amongst the trees and listen to the stream flowing by.
Langs Mill Camping is a small site consisting of 5 tent/campervan pitches and a shepherd hut. The shepherd hut is a cosy space for those who like a little more comfort and protection from the elements. The hut is stunning and includes a bathroom, kitchen and pull-down double bed. You will also have the benefit of a wood-burner for the cooler evenings.
Things to do
Langs Mill Camping is located on the edge of Cardinham Woods, in the heart of Cornwall. Access is easy from the A30 and A38. The site is just a 10-minute drive from Bodmin Parkway mainline station.
Cardinham Woods is a haven of tranquillity with over 600 acres of wooded paths and trails to explore. You will find a café, children’s area and the famous Bodmin Beast mountain bike trail. All directly accessible from Langs Mill. Leave the car with us, cross the clapper bridge, or wade through the stream and just strike out!
You might just prefer to stay on-site and enjoy the peace and quiet. Paddle in the stream, build a den, or try your hand at stone stacking!
The ideal place to go camping in Bodmin, located on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Langs Mill is just a short drive to the evocative landscape that inspired Daphne du Maurier to write Jamaica Inn. The actual Inn and museum is just a 15 minute drive. Within 10 minutes’ you can access the market town of Bodmin, the previous county town of Cornwall, which has everything you need.
Explore the surrounding area
Langs Mill is also the perfect location for exploring, by car, on foot or on wheels. On our doorstep is the 600 acre Cardinham Woods. Within 30 minutes you could be walking or cycling the Camel Trail, at The Eden Project, or on the harbour at Looe or Polperro. You could also walk the moors up to Roughtor or Brown Willy. Visiting Carlyon Bay or Charlestown ancient port also makes a great day out.
A little further on and you could be surfing in Polzeath, or Harlyn. Go for a drink in Doc Martin’s local in Port Isaac, or try the fish and chips in Padstow.
