Location: Rutland Water South Shore

 

High end Glamping in Rutland set amongst cider apple orchards and grape vines. The site offers various accommodation including Lotus Belle Tents, Shepherd Huts and Safari Tents all with stunning views of Rutland water. 

Exclusive hire is available for weddings and events. There is space for a marquee or a tipi for up to 100 people. The Hide is perfect for yoga and wellness retreats. Artists/watercolour weekends, foodie events and gatherings for wildlife enthusiasts would also work well here.  

There is plenty to do in the area including golf, cycling, walking, nature trails and exploring the nearby towns of Stamford, Uppingham and Oakham. 

The Rutland Water cycle path can be picked up right by the campsite’s main gate which is a huge plus for cycling enthusiasts. You can cycle to Normanton church in around 30 minutes or keep going and cycle around the entire lake. The circuit is 17 miles (excluding the peninsular) or 23 miles (including the peninsular).

The Lyndon Top nature reserve and visitor centre is next door. Knowledgable staff are on hand to help you track the arrival of the Ospreys!

Rutland Water Golf course has an exceptionally beautiful par 3 course as well as an 18 hole course.

The Rutland Water Sailing Club is nearby. You can also get out on the water by hiring kayaks and fishing boats.

Stamford, Uppingham and Oakham are all under 15 minutes away by car. There are plenty of shops as well as some excellent pubs and restaurants. 

At the end of your day The Hide at Manton Bay is the perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down over Rutland Water.
